Hunting Country – Elizabeth Wise

“A mother takes a job on a private country estate, where her son was the victim of a hit-and-run.”

A pacy, addictive thriller – the perfect read for a long winter’s night. Great for fans of Lucy Foley and BP Walter

It’s early November, the day of the Opening Meet of the North Ox Hunt, on the fog-bound Swansdown Estate. There in disguise as a hunt groom, and barely holding it together, is Kelly Jones (38), whose son was the victim of a hit-and-run on the estate, five months ago. He’s never regained consciousness. Kelly sneaks her way into this privileged, secret world, determined to discover who hit her son, and left him for dead.

Someone has his phone.

Someone wiped the security cameras.

Someone on that estate knows far more than they’re letting on.

My thriller! I am having the MOST fun writing this (and only freaking myself out very slightly…). I’m really pleased to have won a place on the Erin Kelly thriller-writing course at Curtis Brown Creative, and will be hoovering up all the tips and tricks, and generally enjoying a LOT of thriller chat.

Anyway, what do you think of Hunting Country?! Do you fancy it?
